The purpose of the program is to increase the
participant's knowledge of the cultural and
health care beliefs of diverse populations.
This will be accomplished through identification
of one's own cultural beliefs and biases, review
of cultural considerations in health care delivery
and strategies for providing competent, sensitive care. Improved patient outcomes and staff satisfaction result.

The purpose of the program is to increase an awareness of the benefits
and challenges of working with a culturally diverse staff. Understanding
the cultural beliefs and values and communication styles of fellow staff members promotes a
team approach and respect for individual's contributions and talents.

purpose of the program is to provide educators with an opportunity
explore their own cultural beliefs and values and those of other ethnic
groups. With this information educators can create a welcoming
environment in which students and teachers learn and grow.

BTSA ~ Beginning Teacher Support & Assessment

The
focus of these seminars is to meet the Toward Equity component found in
Standard 17. Participants in Year One discover their own cultural
beliefs, values and biases, compare and contrast with other ethnic
groups, and find common ground in which to work with students and
familys more effectively. Year Two offers more in depth
information and strategies to meet the needs of a diverse population

Highlighted in
this presentation is the way culture may influence how students learn
and interact with teachers...how teachers communicate with students and
families to promote achievement. We review results from high
poverty/high performing schools and develop strategies to enhance
student learning. Creating a welcoming environment in which we
all learn and grow.

The purpose of
the program is to meet the requirements of POST Learning Domain
42. The seminar will increase the participant's knowledge and
understanding of the cultural beliefs of a diverse population.
Strategies for providing culturally competent interactions with the
public will be highlighted. A bridge to understanding helps to
create a safe and secure environment for all.

inclusive of all is the focus of this seminar for City Managers, Board of Supervisors, City Councils and School Boards. Learn how to create an environment that
